Career
Since starting software development with Java at the age of 12 I got in touch with a lot of different technologies at work and in free time. I am actively and constantly evolving my competence and apply it every day. I believe in team work to accomplish things a single individual cannot. Products and purpose are more important to me than tools and technologies. My greatest strengths are to quickly adapt to new situations, evolve my capabilities and broaden my horizons.
Experience
Developer for Apple Platforms
Open-Xchange GmbH
since August 2019
In August 2019 I took the opportunity that Open-Xchange provided me to continue working with Apple technologies on native iOS and macOS apps exclusively. The transition realised a long term career goal which I prepared for in my free time since a few years. OX Mail and OX Drive are the products I am working on with Xcode, Swift and Objective-C. This includes maintenance of the web-technology based OX Mail cross-platform module which is shared with our OX Mail Android app.
Frontend Developer
Open-Xchange GmbH
From July 2018 to August 2019
Focus on front-end and mobile technologies. Developing fully localizable single page applications like OX Protect with Vue.js, Vuex, Backbone, TypeScript and LESS. Testing with Chai, Sinon.js, Selenium and Mocha. Also implementing features in OX Documents. Native iOS app development using Xcode, Swift and delivery via GitLab continuous integration and Hockey. Node.js middleware and build chain development with Express.js, webpack and Grunt.
Backend Developer
Applike GmbH
From January 2018 to July 2018
I worked on the enterprise grade backend for millions of Android client apps which is built on the Symfony framework and run on Amazon Web Services. Migrating event logging from MySQL databases to Elasticsearch and extending custom statistical analysis tools were two major missions.
Web Developer
DeineTierwelt GmbH & Co. KG
From September 2016 to December 2017
Maintaining and developing the corporate web platform across the full stack from MongoDB in the back-end over PHP in the middle to JavaScript in the front-end.
Application Developer
Kreaktor GmbH
From April 2016 to August 2016
Developing and implementing websites and web applications for small and medium sized customers based on common frameworks and content management systems. Creating Virtual Reality demos for an enterprise customer at the International Automobile Exhibition 2016 using Unity3D and the Oculus Rift.
Web Developer
Bitmotion GmbH
From May 2015 to April 2016
Developing and implementing enterprise websites with TYPO3 and developing extensions for it. As part of a multidisciplinary Scrum team focussing on research and development I developed a preference for agile project management. We sticked tightly to the theory of Jeff Sutherland. I was involved from setting up a continuous integration and deployment process to implementing responsive front-ends from scratch. Important projects I contributed to were the relaunches of TÜV NORD GROUP, EKD and Sonepar Germany websites.
Application Developer
DER Fuchs GmbH
From January 2015 to May 2015
I joined a team of young developers to maintain and evolve a web-based in-house solution for all business processes and the xt:Commerce online shop. Complementry projects also include the development of mobile applications for Windows CE with C# and the .NET compact framework. In 2014 I took the lead as a maintainer and worked in collaboration with the external contractor initOS on the corporate migration to Odoo.
Information Technology Specialist (Application Development)
DER Fuchs GmbH
From 2012 to 2015
Original qualification title as officially recognized in Germany: "Fachinformatiker Fachrichtung Anwendungsentwicklung". This apprenticeship normally takes 3 years. My good grades and previous graduationen allowed me to graduate one year earlier but I chose to graduate half a year earlier to still participate in half a year of interesting subjects. This vocational education is a lot more practically oriented than the Technical Assistant For Information Technology. During the first year 60% of the time are practical work at the company office. The remaining 40% are occupied by theoretical studies in the vocational school. Beginning with the second year the distribution shifts to 80% and 20%.
Technical Assistant
DSHwood GmbH
From 2010 to 2012
Order processing, on-site support for information technology and improving used software solutions like Microsofts Dynamics NAV. While taking care of the corporate design in the German subsidiary I also designed a full page advertisement for DSHwood which was published multiple times across the country in respective forestry magazines.
Internship .NET Development
HM-Software GmbH
From 2009 to 2010
With this internship, after becoming a technical assistant for information technology, I gained the final requirement to be eligible to study at a college. However the frontline, where real life and work takes place, always interested me more than studying theory for years. I worked on Microsoft Office Add-Ins an Windows Presentation Foundation based features in the flagship product HM-LIMS which is a laboratory information management system used by major quality assurance laboratories in Germany.
Education
Technical Assistant For Information Technology
Axel-Bruns-Schule Celle
From 2007 to 2009
Original qualification title as officially recognized in Germany: "technischer Assistent für Informatik". This education includes (among other subjects) theories in information technology, studies of hardware and electronics, software development and administrative tasks. It cover a lot from in-depth studies of relational databases over setting up distributed Active Directories to practically designing and soldering circuit boards.
High School
Kaiserin-Auguste-Viktoria Gymnasium Celle

Because I developed a vital interest in information technology early, I took a shortcut to becoming a technical assistant for information technology after 10th class.
